Default are the polaris dragon 800 any good?

i'm just wondering whether or not the 2010 dragon 800 switchback's are any good. I'm looking at one and would like some some insight.

I haven't heard much good about them yet, the 09's are upgraded to be the same as the 2010's from what I understand and they are still a tic tic tic............BOOM! They sure handle nice though.LOL

Polaris is much more reliable in their 600 motors, than the 800's.
For something between the two in horsepower, and with annecdotally better reliability than the recent 800's consider the FST turbo switchback from polaris. About 140 hp vs 125 ish for the 600, and 150 to 155 on the 800s. Deceptively quick, and easier on the fuel budget than the two strokes.

I have heard that they do ride nice.. I love the looks of them.. That being said, I still wouldn't touch one with a ten foot pole. Polaris has some huge issues with their 800. No matter what fix they bring out for them, they are still blowing up

Hey, I rode a 600 Dragon yesterday...I would never buy one. Does not even have half the pull power of my cat, just saying.

I agree, the 600 polaris is 120 hp on carbed sleds and 125 at most with efi. It will not pull like the cat motors.

The 700 polaris ves liquid motor when available was around 140... not quite the hp of the cat 700's but much more able to wake up the sled when required.

With the new dragon 600's its not just the motor in the package, from what I understand people who have ridden both the switchback and cat crossfire seem to like the handling and ride on the polaris better... different strokes for different folks.

YMMV
